Summary
First Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. The Alarm Monitor is responsible for monitoring security systems including alarms and CCTV systems in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) MARSOC Federal Services contract at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This position requires an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms for sensitive or restricted areas.
- Identify and report unauthorized or suspicious activity.
- Operate and monitor alarm panels, intrusion detection systems, video motion detection systems, and other electronic security systems.
- Investigate alarm activations and determine whether alarms are legitimate or system malfunctions.
- Maintain logs and documentation related to alarms, incidents, and system activity.
- Ensure communication and alarm systems are functioning properly and report system issues for corrective action.
- Coordinate with security personnel, supervisors, and government representatives regarding security incidents.
- Maintain required records in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Work performed in a secure monitoring center or security operations environment.
- Position requires extended periods of sitting while monitoring multiple screens.
- May require rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May sit for extended period
- May monitor multiple screens for an extended period of time.
Qualifications
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to monitor and interpret security systems and alarms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to security events.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, emergency services, and security personnel.
