Position DescriptionDesigns, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.
Major/Essential Functions- Supervises Community Health Worker(s) and assures all staff maintain a high quality of standards and perform proper job functions.
- Assess Project staffing needs; hire and train staff.
- Assist investigators with project development - including preparation of human subjects applications and renewals. Development of program and educational materials, study protocols and procedures, and assist with project and budget development.
- Manage primary data collection, develop study related databases under the direction of the PI.
- Collect and maintain all study related documents and information for regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate and supervise project preparation (rules and procedures) and the implementation/management of ongoing project activities.
- Coordinate post award management, including budget monitoring, and preparing progress reports.
- Assist with writing and editing of proposals and manuscripts as needed.
- Maintain compliance standards including the completion of CITI training and protection of human subjects as appropriate/needed.
- Implement and maintain social media and web page and content.
- Organize, implement, and participate in community events to solicit project awareness and enrollees.
- Provide employee and programmatic updates to PI on a regularly scheduled basis inclusive of support documentation and data.
- Monitor and track project milestones and progress.
- Establish community partnerships and maintain rapport with established partners.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor/PI within the scope of position, following TTUHSC policies and procedures, in order to meet the goals and objectives of the project.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
