Registered Nurse

State of Missouri

Job Description:

Registered Nurse

Description

Job Location: This position will be Telecommuter / Remote / Work from Home (when not inspecting facilities within Missouri).

Why you’ll love this position:

No weekends. No holidays. No on-call. State retirement. 13 paid holidays. A routine 4-10 work schedule (Mon-Thursday.) Three weeks of vacation leave in addition to three weeks of sick leave each year. Some flexibility in scheduling. In this position, you are a surveyor/inspector (Registered Nurse/RN) for the Bureau of Hospital Standards, the Missouri State agency with regulatory oversight of all licensed hospitals. We are regulators who ensure hospitals comply with the rules and provide quality care to Missouri residents. You will be a telecommuter working from your home office when you are not out completing surveys/inspections across Missouri. You will learn the Federal Regulations and State laws pertaining to various types of hospitals. These regulations are used when going onsite to conduct surveys/inspections/investigations. Typical work schedule: You will spend 3-4 days out in the field performing surveys/inspections one or two weeks in a row, and then work at home completing inspection reports the following week. The hospitals are located throughout the entire state of Missouri, so you can anticipate travel with overnight stays of 2-3 nights per week on the survey weeks. Hotels, meals, and travel expenses paid while out on survey. You will attend an organized orientation and training program so that you will be comfortable in your new position. You will typically work as a team with one or two other surveyors. Your success is measured by both team and individual productivity, carried out with a committed work ethic while maintaining a high level of integrity.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Minimum Qualifications:

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
