Job Location: - The office for this position is located at 3315 W. Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.

This position is a Team Lead who will manage staff and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Web applications. This position requires close collaboration with other team leads and supervisors to ensure project success.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD).

- Assign and lead projects, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to staff.
- Manage, assign, and follow up on tickets.
- Establish project schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress against schedules.
- Write, debug, and maintain code using standard Java practices.
- Conduct thorough testing to validate application changes and ensure stability.
- Develop application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to a development team.
- Knowledge of Rational Application Developer, Azure DevOps, Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlet, EJB), DB2, SQL, HTML, CSS, MVC, Bootstrap, Web Application Security, Spring.
- desire to continually develop new skills while improving existing skills.
- An understanding of ServiceNow / low-code development.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and debug complex issues.
- Capability of managing multiple tasks and projects under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, can work on a team or independently, and have the desire to develop new skills while improving existing skills continually.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
