Working as a psychologist in the Contra Costa Behavioral Health system offers the rare chance to do deeply meaningful clinical work while actively shaping a large and complex public system at a moment of unprecedented transformation. Contra Costa is the kind of environment where your clinical expertise, systems thinking, and collaborative leadership aren’t just welcomed-they are essential to the county’s mission and future direction.

Here, your work has layers of impact: you support individual clients, you elevate the skills and confidence of the workforce, and you contribute to shaping a more equitable, effective, and resilient behavioral health system.
