Job Location: This position will be located at 912 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Senior and Disability Services, is currently accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Support Assistant to the Financial Support Unit Bureau Chief as needed. This position requires a great amount of contact within our Department, the general public and other governmental agencies. - Represents the Division with exemplary customer service and professional etiquette.
- Manages day-to-day activities and special projects of the Financial Support Unit, recognizing work priorities, monitoring workflow and making adjustments in day-to-day activities for financial support unit staff.
- Assists with preparation of financial and budgetary information for legislative requests in a timely manner.
- Composes, proofreads and distributes a variety of correspondence and documents division-wide including memos, fact sheets, brochures, and grant related documents.
- Compiles necessary background information to aid the Bureau Chief in the decision-making for the division.
- Provides assistance to the Bureau Chief as necessary.
- Support team members with office operations.
- The person who performs this role will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a highly developed customer service mentality. This individual will need to exercise critical thinking skills and independence in decision-making based upon knowledge of agency operations, policies and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask are necessary. Confidentiality in this position is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (Substitutions allowed.)
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or other closely related field
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
