This position will be located at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Kansas City Regional Office, 200 Unity Circle North, Suite 2A, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086 .
- Provide supervision and guidance to team members in the Wastewater Inspection Unit.
- P lan, develop, organize, and direct the work of staff. Oversee daily operations and ensure inspection goals/U.S. Environmental Protection Agency commitments are met.
- Review and evaluate the technical decisions, recommendations, and reports prepared by technical staff. Review and evaluate staff performance.
- Schedule and conduct environmental inspections , investigations , and compliance assistance activities at permitted and unpermitted facilities in the Kansas City Region. Prepare documentation that is timely and accurate and conduct follow-up work for timely compliance.
- Provide compliance and technical assistance to the regulated community, and general assistance to the public, on water pollution requirements, both in the office and onsite.
- Provide supervisory coverage for other units and the office as needed.
- Occasionally participate in public education and recruiting events, and handle briefings and environmental issues for management team.
- The ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

Equivalent to those typically gained by :
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
(Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.

Salary:
$65,400-$68,664 per Year
