Position Overview
This position is responsible for conducting plan reviews, performing inspections, initiating enforcement, and issuing plan approvals and permits to ensure customer projects comply with applicable pretreatment regulations for general, categorical, and Significant Industrial Users. This position will be responsible for carrying and responding to an emergency pager, on a rotating one-week schedule.

* The minimum qualifications for the Pretreatment Compliance Specialist require a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major/minor course work in a scientific field related to the job, plus four (4) years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree in a scientific field related to the job, plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with major course work in a scientific field related to the job, plus two (2) years of relevant experience. Do you meet these qualifications? * This position requires a valid Texas Class C Driver License. Do you have a valid Texas Class C Driver License or, if selected for this position, do you have the ability to acquire a valid Texas Class C Driver License by your hire date? * The City of Austin Driver Eligibility Standards require that External New Hires meet the City’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.
