The successful candidate will work from their home office and cover a territory that includes, but is not limited to, Southeast Missouri including parts of St. Louis County. The position works from home with extensive local travel and occasional overnight travel. State vehicle provided.

This position requires extensive knowledge of state requirements for licensure of Pharmacists, Pharmacies, and Drug Distributors and other board, state, and federal laws and regulations related to the practice of Pharmacy. Successful candidate must have the ability to answer technical questions concerning Pharmacy practice. Candidates must have good, effective communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, make routine decisions, organize workflow and establish priorities and deadlines. Candidate must have ability to compose written reports.
- Inspect all pharmacies where drugs are dispensed and all drug distributor facilities to assure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and for conducting Quality Assurance Inspections and Audits.
- Conduct investigations based on complaints received by the board, which will include: gathering evidence; conducting drug audits; interviewing licensees, complainants, and witnesses.
- Prepare written reports for board review.
- Testify before the Administrative Hearing Commission, the Board of Pharmacy or courts.
- Monitor progress of disciplined licensees.
- Educate pharmacists on new rules or laws.
- Obtain samples of compounded drugs for testing.
- Respond to inquiries regarding pharmacy law and appropriate practice.
What we are looking for: Minimum Qualifications - One or more years of professional experience working as a licensed pharmacist.
- Ability at the time of appointment hold, or have the ability to secure, a license without restrictions to practice as a pharmacist in the State of Missouri.
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
