We are seeking a team member who is able to:
- Apply critical thinking related to financial reporting.
- Provide outstanding customer service to the multiple agency contacts we serve.
- Formulate an opinion independently.
What you’ll do: - Prepare and analyze statewide financial reports, including but not limited to the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analyze and provide comments on the impact of proposed Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements and their effect on the State-wide financial statements.
- Extract, analyze, and report on financial data retrieved from the statewide accounting system.
- Assist with the maintenance, review, analysis, and evaluation of the statewide accounting system.
- Provide customer service support to all State agency personnel regarding various accounting issues.
All you need for success:Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree. Substitutions may be allowed (for example, but not limited to, professional certifications or additional relevant experience)

Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience in interpreting and applying GAAP.
- Knowledge of Governmental Accounting and GASB Standards.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Knowledge of the statewide accounting system and data warehouse reports.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Remain flexible, self-motivated, and work independently or as a member of a group with little supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with others in the unit and agency customers.
