Director of Re-entry Operations/FAITHS (UEC)

About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (This is not a state position) University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary Temporary, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $10,000-$11,666.66 per month.
Location: Hybrid role. Off campus San Bernardino area worksite and remote as directed.
Work Schedule Exempt. 40 hours per week. Typically Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 5:30PM, some nights and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the Director of Operations, the Director of Re-entry will work independently to:
1. Program Oversight and Stakeholder Engagement: - Oversee the development and implementation of reentry initiatives, including RAPID Track diversion programs and ASC psychoeducational classes.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, law enforcement agencies, and academic institutions to enhance reentry programming.
- Represent the FAITHS Throughcare Program in public forums, media engagements, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen program visibility and community impact.
2. Staff and Intern Supervision: - Supervise assigned staff and graduate-level interns, providing training, oversight, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with UEC Human Resources on employee-related policies, performance evaluations, and personnel decisions.
- Ensure interns’ work aligns with evidence-based intervention strategies and FAITHS program goals.
3. Program Development and Evaluation: - Develop policies, procedures, and operational plans for reentry programming and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee program evaluations, including the collection and analysis of performance data, to assess program efficacy and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on program outcomes to executive management, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
4. Community Events and Outreach: - Plan, organize, and oversee events and outreach programs to educate the community on reentry initiatives and available resources.
- Promote program goals through public relations campaigns, presentations, and strategic communications.
5. General Responsibilities: - Address high-profile incidents and provide recommendations to executive leadership on public and community relations matters.
- Represent the FAITHS Throughcare Program in media engagements and act as a liaison between the program and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary to support program operations and community impact.
- Some local and regional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications - Education:
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or a related human services field.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience working with justice-involved individuals
and families, with proven ability to lead and manage reentry-focused programs.
- Other:
- Experience implementing evidence-based interventions, including trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, resolve conflicts, and develop long-term implementation strategies.
- Experience with program evaluation, data collection, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of child development, mental health practices, and positive parenting frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse populations, including individuals from varied cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.
- Familiarity with state and county policies related to incarceration, reentry, and mental health programming.
- Skilled in public speaking, media relations, and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications • Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Currently licensed or license-eligible by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Experience conducting program evaluations or collaborating on academic research projects.
• Knowledge of trauma recovery frameworks, interpersonal neurobiology, and attachment-based theoretical models.
• Experience working within a university setting, including managing graduatelevel interns.
• Strong background in strategic communication, public relations, and media outreach.
