Job Title: Teen & Community Services LibrarianDepartment: AdministrationReports to: Library DirectorJob Type: Full-time, 40-hours per week, exemptSalary: $40,000 - $50,000 annuallyBenefits: Paid vacation and sick leave; MERS deferred compensation and optional 457 retirement account; Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance; Employee Assistance Program.In a Nutshell: Do you love connecting with teens, building community partnerships, and creating programs people actually want to attend? We're looking for an energetic, creative, and community-minded librarian to lead teen services while helping expand outreach across our vibrant, engaged community.We serve a rural community of about 18,000 people who LOVE their library. Our programs are busy, our partnerships are strong, and our staff genuinely enjoys working together.We also have received a grant to develop a designated teen center. This is your chance to help build a meaningful community service that will have a lasting impact on the community.What You'll Do Plan and lead engaging programs for teens (ages 13-17)Build strong relationships with local schools, organizations, and community partnersProvide outreach services beyond the library walls at local school and community eventsHelp develop and maintain a relevant, appealing teen collectionCreate welcoming spaces where teens feel comfortable and respectedProvide creative input in the planning and development of the new teen centerAssist with library-wide programming and initiatives for all agesPhysical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the librarian should be able to:Speak clearly and hear people of all ages, including small childrenMove, bend, and stay active during programsLift up to 25 lbs.
