The role drives strong supplier relationships and performance to ensure parts are delivered on time, to specification, and at the lowest sustainable total cost.Main ResponsibilitiesLead Sourcing Activities to Support Ceres TechnologiesDevelop and execute category strategies for assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with divisional and Product Company objectives.Build and maintain an optimal supplier portfolio that supports current operational needs and long term strategic goals.Establish effective integrated material supply methods along the entire chain through Buffer Stock Agreements (BSA) and Letters of Warranty (LoW).Conduct structured supplier performance reviews covering service, delivery, quality, and compliance, and drive corrective actions.Ensure sourcing strategies support divisional sustainability objectives.Strengthen Supply Chain Resilience, Compliance and Business ContinuityDevelop and maintain business continuity plans for critical suppliers and critical parts, aligned with divisional strategy.Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory, ethical, environmental, and corporate governance requirements.Secure supplier capacity through proactive planning, capacity assessments, and contractual commitments.Embed agility requirements into SLAs (e.g., ±20% ramp up/down within agreed lead times).Monitor and communicate developments affecting purchased parts (obsolescence, regulatory changes, raw material trends, currency impacts).Drive Product Cost Improvement and Operational ExcellenceIdentify, lead, and deliver cost reduction initiatives across the supply base.Collaborate closely with manufacturing to optimise material flow and ensure supply chain efficiency.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance process performance.Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) thinking to uncover innovative supplier driven savings opportunities.Build Strong Cross Functional CollaborationDevelop strong working relationships with Engineering, Production, Customer Service, Quality, and other internal stakeholders.Establish effective communication channels and governance with divisional teams and other Product Companies within Edwards and Atlas Copco.Provide mentorship and guidance to the supply chain team to drive individual development and strengthen team performance.Enable Early Supplier Involvement in Technology and InnovationFacilitate early supplier engagement in technology and product development projects to leverage external expertise.Assess supplier capability gaps against future technology requirements and drive improvement plans.Share relevant technology, market, and supply chain trends with internal stakeholders to support informed decision making.To succeed, you will needWe encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement.
