Senior Analytical TechnicianWe are looking for a Senior Analytical Technician to join our Refinery Catalyst business unit team in Attapulgus, GA. Come create chemistry with us! BASF's Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services. As a Senior Analytical Technician for our Refinery Catalyst business unit (G-EV/RR) you will build a meaningful career supporting both our R&D department and Technical Service team to manage catalyst sample shipments and inventory. The CSR Technician will be working in person in the R&D team located in Attapulgus, GA. The role is critical to fulfill our customer needs to evaluate BASF's Refinery Catalysts During your 8-hour shift as a Senior Analytical Technician, you will Run R&D samples on analytical instruments with established routines. Develop and validate new analytical methods to support evolving R&D needs. Work collaboratively with the analytical R&D team to plan and prioritize analytical tasks for optimum productivity. Mentor and train junior technicians on analytical methods, laboratory practices, and instrument operation. Recommend improvements to analytical practices and workflows.If you Have a BS degree in Chemistry or related sciences + 4 years of experience or Associate degree with 6 years of applicable experience, OR HS diploma with 10+ years of experience. Have advanced knowledge of analytical instrumentation, laboratory equipment, and analytical methods. Have hands-on experience operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting inductively coupled plasma (ICP) and infrared (IR) instrumentation. Hands-on experience in operating scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) is considered a plus. Have strong written / verbal communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills Have competence in the use of MS Office tools.
