You'll work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment where teamwork, safety, and attention to detail are essential. From processing baggage and cargo to receiving and dispatching aircraft, you'll help keep our flights running smoothly and on schedule. If you're ready for a physically active role that makes a real impact, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Safely lift, load,unload,transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and fromaircraft.Sort, scan, and route checked baggage in thebagroomaccording to flight destination, priority status, and transfer requirements.Receive inbound transfer baggage from arriving flights and ensuretimelydelivery to outbound flights within established connection windows.Deliver passenger luggage and cargo todesignatedlocations.Guideincoming and departing aircraft from the gateusing hand signals and wing walking procedures.Serviceaircraftwater and lavatory.Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.Inspect ramp areasadjacent togate andaircraftfor debris and remove/dispose of when found.Maintain clear communication with flight crews and other ground personnel.Monitor weather conditions and takeappropriate safetymeasures.Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.Comply withall federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carriersafety andsecurity requirements.Performotherduties asassigned to support McGee's successful business operation.Qualifications RequiredA valid driver's license with a good drivingrecord.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.Ability to pass a physicalcapabilitytest.Ability to pass a criminal background check.Ability to obtain &maintainanairport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.Ability to work any shift, includingearly mornings, late nights,weekendsand Holidays.Lifting upto 75 pounds on a frequent basis.Proficiencyin English (written and spoken).Must be able to bend, stoop, squat,reach,and grasp.Exceptional interpersonal skills withtheability toget alongwith others.Ability to work at a constant and quick pace for up to two consecutive hours.Understanding and ability toutilizeelectronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination informationPerforming basic mathematical functions (e.g., counting bags, verifying cargo weights)High school diploma or equivalent.Must be at least 18 years of age.Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S.PreferredPreviousexperience working in a physically demandingorsafetycriticaljob.Additional Information This job description outlines the essential functions and requirements for this position.
