Join GDIT and the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Pacific (JMSC-P) as a Database System Support Specialist for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:Develops, modifies, validates, and sustains JLVC simulation databases by using VISTAApply simulation database standards, feature characterization, terrain attribution, and environmental data to ensure accurate representationIntegrate C2, order of battle, and other operational data sets into simulation platformsConduct comprehensive data validation, troubleshooting, and corrective actions to ensure simulation fidelityCustomize and optimize database structures to meet specific scenario and exercise requirementsCollaborate with scenario designers and exercise planners to ensure data supports training objectivesAssist with data formatting and import/export operations across all simulation platformsGenerate documentation and metadata for all database builds and modificationsWilling to learn, work as part of team, and as an individual with minimal guidanceParticipates in other projects as requiredWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: AS/AA in a related technical discipline, OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or trainingRequired Experience: 3+ years of related experience; MTC and military experience preferredRequired Technical Skills:Working knowledge of JLVC federate systems (JDLM, JCATS, JMECS, EXCIS, etc.)Basic knowledge of HLA and DIS standardsAbility to perform data entry, import/export, and format conversions within simulation platformsUnderstanding of the JELC processKnowledge of how to integrate C2 systemsExperience with importing LDIFWorking knowledge of Army War Fighting FunctionsCertification: Comp TIA SEC+ certification requiredSecurity Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI ClearanceRequired Skills and Abilities:Expert knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong ability to identify and troubleshoot problems on assigned simulation drivers (JLVC/JCATS, etc.) (co-located and at remote sites)Strong effective presentation and communication skillsAbility to manage time effectively to meet build schedules and exercise deadlinesStrong attention to detailAbility to lift 40lbs of equipment; ability to perform shift work of up to 12 hours with long periods of standing or walkingLocation: On Customer Site / moderate travel required to other customer sites in the AoRGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we doGrowth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunitiesSupport: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goalsRewards: 401K with company matchCommunity: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplaceOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY Explore a career at GDIT and you'll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your ambition to deliver your best work.The likely hourly rate for this position is between $31.45 - $42.55.
