While social media and content creation are the primary focus, this position also supports communications, outreach, and day-to-day organizational needs. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about social justice and community engagement and outreach.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with POCAAN's mission and strategic plan.Create, edit, and publish engaging content (photos, videos, graphics, reels, stories, captions)Manage daily activity across platforms (Facebook, Blue, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X)Maintain a consistent posting schedule and content calendar (Content is posted at least daily or every other day).Produce culturally relevant storytelling that highlights community outreach and impactCapture and edit photo and video content for campaigns, events, and programsDesign graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar toolsDevelop creative campaigns that increase community awareness, engagement, and supportEnsure brand consistency across all digital channelsRespond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional mannerEngage with community members, partners, and stakeholders onlineAmplify voices and stories from the communities POCAAN servesBuild relationships that strengthen digital community presencePromote events, health initiatives, outreach efforts, and advocacy campaignsSupport fundraising campaigns and donor engagement effortsCollaborate with program teams to showcase services, outcomes, and success storiesMonitor social media performance (engagement, reach, growth, conversions)Track trends and audience insights to improve strategyProvide regular reports with recommendations for optimizationAssist with communications such as emails, outreach, and schedulingSupport event coordination, project tracking, and program promotionProvide general support to leadership and team as neededHelp with occasional errands, on-site support, or community eventsQualificationsRequired2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or communicationsStrong content creation skills (photography, video, graphics, writing)Experience managing multiple social media platformsExcellent communication and storytelling skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferredExperience in nonprofit, public health, or community-based organizationsProficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similarKnowledge of social media analytics tools (Meta Insights, Hootsuite, etc.)Experience with culturally responsive or community-centered communicationsBS in communications or related fields, a master's is preferredCreativity and innovationCultural humility and community awarenessAdaptability and willingness to "wear multiple hats"Strong problem-solving skillsPassion for health equity, racial justice, and social impactAdditional RequirementsReliable transportation and ability to attend events or community activitiesComfortable appearing in social media content (when needed)Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events#J-18808-Ljbffr
