Contract length: 13 weeks
Registered Dietitian (RD) Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for patients across various clinical settings.
- Counsel patients and families on nutrition, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Monitor patient progress and modify nutrition interventions as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Interpret laboratory values and clinical data to support nutrition recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility nutrition standards and regulations.
- Educate healthcare staff on nutrition-related best practices as needed.
- Support quality improvement and patient education initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
