Summary

Lab Technician

The Lab Technician is responsible for performing and computing basic soil strength and index tests with high proficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Complete basic soil strength and index tests following detailed instructions.
  • Assist in determining the appropriateness of soil samples for testing.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of various ASTM testing procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory facilities and assist in the maintenance of test equipment.
  • Accurately summarize test results in report form for analysis by engineering staff.
  • Execute work duties in an organized and efficient manner, maintaining an organized and clean work area.
Job Requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Possess a High school diploma or, an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Have 1 year or more of experience is preferred.
  • Have knowledge of soil classification techniques.
  • Be able to utilize testing equipment and perform laboratory equipment checks and calibrations per company procedures.
