LOSS PREVENTION & ASSET PROTECTION TEAM MEMBERPosition Description
Wally's is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loss Prevention Specialist to help protect company assets, reduce shrink, and support a safe, secure shopping environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational integrity through surveillance, reporting, and a strong partnership with store leadership.

- Proactive Deterrence: Prevent theft and shortage at the front of the store by performing professional receipt checks and maintaining an approachable, vigilant presence.
- Expert Documentation: Use your accuracy and time-management skills to respond to and document incidents. You will be responsible for completing thorough, organized investigation reports following Wally's SOPs.
- Surveillance: Understand all video and surveillance systems to identify irregularities and monitor trends to address inventory shrink.
- Process Excellence: Act as a disciplined process follower, strictly adhering to LP policies and leadership guidance during merchandise recoveries and apprehension support.
- Communication & Partnership: Report irregularities to management clearly and professionally. You will work as a key partner to store leadership in executing shortage action plans.
- Guest Engagement: Provide a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest, using strong interpersonal skills to de-escalate situations and provide helpful assistance.
- Safety & Compliance: Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct and safety; identify and correct hazards to protect yourself, your teammates, and our guests.
- Operational Integrity: Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the store remains a safe and profitable environment.
- Traits: You are highly observant, detail-oriented, and a natural process follower. You have a professional demeanor and a commitment to ethical conduct.
- Technical Skills: You are technologically competent and comfortable operating digital surveillance equipment and reporting software.
- Organization: Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle accurate paperwork/reporting in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail, guest service, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write clear, concise correspondence.
- Availability: Required flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
- Frequent use of hands/arms to handle or feel equipment.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally move up to 50 lbs.
9 AM - 5 PM First Shift
12 PM - 8 PM Second Shift
