Description Of Work
This position focuses on providing in-home support to families who need guidance in building safe and stable routines. You will work directly with parents and caregivers to strengthen skills and connect them with helpful resources. As a County Caseworker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Family Support: Help families improve their home environment through structured activities and planned programs
- Resource Guidance: Connect families to community services that match their specific needs
- Life Skills Instruction: Deliver or coordinate instruction in areas such as parenting, budgeting and communication
- Home Safety Assistance: Support families in identifying housing options and improving home conditions for safety
- Progress Documentation: Record family progress and contacts in the appropriate systems within required timeframes
- Court Preparation: Prepare written summaries and presentations for hearings when needed
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports. See hiring agency contact information.
- A conditional offer of employment will require successful completion of a drug screening,
