Summary
Security Officer
Responsible for the safety and security of all SAHARA LAS VEGAS guests, employees and assets.
Job Focus:
• Will be required to stand for long periods of time
• Responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees
• Patrols various areas of SAHARA LAS VEGAS property, ensuring that reports are made to Security Management if there is a potential safety issue
• Responsible for minimizing opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, reacting to disturbances and prohibited conduct
• Responsible for responding to emergency situations and provide assistance within reason
• Works closely with law enforcement personnel to ensure that the property is being kept safe and secure against undesirable guests
• Will be responsible for preparing written reports
• Will be responsible for conducting escorts and standbys
• Will be responsible for the transport of various assets around property
Qualifications:
• Military, security, law enforcement or customer service experience with a minimum of three years in the hotel/casino industry is preferred
• Must be able to work efficiently alone or in a team environment
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must maintain confidentiality of employee/guest information and pertinent hotel data in order to perform job functions with attention to detail
• Previous experience in Guest Relations or similar experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic gaming regulations is preferred, but not required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Able to observe and provide detailed recollection of incidents
• Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
• An intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
