The primary responsibility of the Security & Transport Log Officer is to protect Bell & Evans employees, facilities, equipment, and products by monitoring access, conducting patrols, and maintaining a safe and secure environment. As you gain experience, you will take on additional responsibilities across security operations and workplace safety.
2nd Shift Available
What You'll Do
- Monitor and authorize entry and exit of all employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Check employee IDs, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate logs.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls during off-hours and weekends.
- Maintain and update emergency contact lists; notify management as needed.
- Escort individuals off company property when directed by management.
- Enforce parking and driving rules throughout Bell & Evans property.
- Assist during emergency situations, including evacuations and safety incidents.
- Conduct periodic building checks, ensuring all checkpoints are scanned for security compliance.
- Collect, sort, and distribute internal mail as assigned.
- Complete documentation, reports, and basic computer or tablet entries.
- Support a strong teamwork environment within the security department and across the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; OR six months of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with employees and visitors.
- Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet for data entry.
- Willingness to work 8-12 hour shifts when required.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in security, safety, military, or related roles.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
