About the Role

The primary function of the Custodian is to maintain the cleanliness of interiors and exteriors of various office and industrial facilities at the Brightwater Treatment Plant as well as backfill for the custodian at the Environmental Education Center. This is a great opportunity for an individual who likes a variety of work, working with a diverse team that supports the Operations and Maintenance of Brightwater Treatment Plant and its conveyance systems. The successful applicant will work to help the Wastewater Treatment Division maintain a healthy environment for wastewater treatment personnel of King County.

About the Team

Brightwater is part of King County’s regional wastewater system and serves parts of north King County and south Snohomish County. The plant is located just north of Woodinville and is King County’s newest regional wastewater treatment facility. It features an educational and event center, natural areas and hiking trails, and public art. The facility is nationally recognized for its award-winning design and its consistent compliance with state and federal discharge limits.

The Brightwater Plant has approximately 70 employees who operate and maintain the plant. The plant also serves as a worksite for contraction management personnel and administrative staff. It has a diverse workforce dedicated to supporting the mission of the Wastewater Treatment Division by safely operating and maintaining the facility to comply with environmental regulations.
