Position DescriptionTexas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks an adjunct instructor for their entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Occupational Therapy for the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
The open position is for an adjunct position in an in-person format and be available from 8-12 in the morning over the summer months for in-person supervision of OT students in Lubbock, Texas. The primary role of the appointment is for clinical education within the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in one or more of the following areas: developmental interventions; pediatric practice; clinical management; clinical reasoning.

Major/Essential Functions- Provide in-person supervision to OTD Level 1 fieldwork students in Lubbock, Texas to include:
- setting up experiences,
- providing on-site supervision,
- reviewing and approving intervention plans,
- providing feedback on student documentation, and
- completing Fieldwork Evaluations.
- Facilitate meaningful discussions, promote critical thinking, and provide constructive feedback to students to foster their professional growth.
- Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experiences.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- Current occupational therapy licensure.
- 5 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
- Demonstrated experience in areas relevant to advanced practice in occupational therapy as follows:
- Pediatric occupational therapy intervention (>3 years),
- Including provision of group intervention,
- Solid understanding of developmental expectations,
- Clinical management,
- Supervision of fieldwork students,
- Clinical documentation,
- Clinical reasoning.
