Position DescriptionEmployees in this position are responsible for providing comprehensive project coordination, management and oversight for institutional construction, renovation, and upgrade projects. Duties include budget development and adherence; scope development, planning and programming; design reviews and application of customer input; contractor supervision; construction administration; commissioning, and close-out to include warranties and regulatory submission.
Major/Essential Functions- Manage day-to-day project activities across the TTUHSC system, including all campuses and locations
- Track and monitor financial costs associated with assigned projects
- Coordinate and schedule meetings with the Design and Construction team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related activities
- Act as the main liaison for end users, providing responsive customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Landscaping Architecture, Interior Design or related field from an EAC/ABET or NAAB accredited institution.
Experience: Three (3) years of extensive experience in managing large multiple design and construction projects.
An advanced degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Landscaping Architecture, Interior Design or related field may substitute for one year of experience. * Prior experience in design, construction and facilities support. * Extensive knowledge of contract procurement, contract administration, budget oversight and meeting/managing deadlines.
License: * Valid U.S. driver's license and proof of liability insurance as required by TTUS Office of Risk Management.
